Statistics

2024

In 202, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 244 children.   48% of those children were 10 and under.  52% of those children were over the age of 10.  The CAC did experience a 22% increase in cases in 2024.  

2023

In 2023, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 200 children.   63% of those children were 12 and up.  37% of those children were under the age of 12.  The CAC has staff trained to conduct Stewards of Children Darkness 2 Light training in Spanish and English.  

2022

In 2022, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 151 children.   65% of those children were 12 and up.  55% of those children were under the age of 12.  The CAC began offering additional services this year to include onsite therapy services and RADAR Jr. interviewing.

2021

In 2021, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 193 children.  This is the drastic increase we were expecting after the numbers went down during the first year of the pandemic.  65% of those children were 12 and under.

2020

In 2020, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 155 children.  We are certain there was a decrease in reporting this year due to the pandemic.  62% of those children were 12 and under.

2019

In 2019, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 169 children.   61% of those children were 12 and under.

2018

In 2018, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 134 children.  66% of those children were 12 and under.  

2017

In 2017, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 170 children.  65% of those children were 12 and under.  

2016

In 2016, Sampson County Child Advocacy Center provided services to 120 children.  57% of those were 12 or under in age.

The blue ribbon represents child abuse prevention during the month of April. Wear your blue ribbon to show support

Pinwheels

The Pinwheel is a symbol used in April to represent Child Abuse Prevention.  The pinwheels represents that all children deserve a happy, healthy childhood.  

What Can You Do?

What Can You Do?

Help bring awareness in April to Child Abuse Prevention.  Invite a speaker to your group.  Donate needed items to the CAC .  Volunteer at the CAC.  Plant a pinwheel garden at your business or home.
